Whether you have had a calm rainy weekend like myself or a drunken dance-party, here are a couple of things to make your Sunday night peaceful and comedic.
I have been completely addicted to the cartoon”Invader Zim” as of late. The cartoon is about this quirky alien from the planet Irk who has been placed on Earth to dominate and destroy all humans. The great thing about this cartoon is that the Earth and humans are portrayed in this satirical and dark way that makes you take a different look at everyday things. Comic book writer and creator, Jhonen Vasquez’s writing style is sarcastic, dark and absolutely hilarious – his subtle humor is really what makes this show such a great one to watch. The show was produced by and aired on Nickelodeon which in my opinion was a very, very bad mistake. While this show may seem fitting for children, a young adult audience would better appreciate it with all its subtle hilarity and subsequently – it was cancelled due to lack of interest. SO, if after watching it you fall in love with it like I have, please visit THIS SITE and sign the petition to bring it back. After all, how are we supposed to live on this planet without being able to hear the Doom Song once more?!
Ahhh, solo Cee-Lo Green, what’s better, really? His song “Fuck You” has a fantastic beat and even though the phrase “Fuck You” is used in the chorus about 6 times, it is hardly crude and unbelievably catchy. Cee-Lo is fantastic in Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley but personally, I really enjoy his solo style. In the most respectable way possible, fuck you too Cee-Lo. Check out the video below for the mellow little number, “Fuck You”.
Alright, I don’t know about ya’ll but I LOVE trying new recipes but can’t always be bothered to open my cookbooks and search around for the perfect one. So being all 21st century and what not, I have found this super handy iPhone/iTouch app to help me out with that problem (or laziness?). It is called Dinner Spinner, and let me tell you…it sure spun me around when I first downloaded it. The layout is simple and that of a slot machine. You choose what course you want to make (i.e dinner, lunch), what kind of food you’re thinking of cooking (i.e chicken, beef, cheese, veggies) and how long of a recipe you’re willing to slave over and VOILA! The spinner shoots out hundreds of different homemade recipes for you to make. If you like cooking new things, I strongly suggest this app my fellow Ramsay wannabe’s!
So tonight, try some new food, music and T.V. and be dry, happy and healthy on this wet night everyone!
Stay peachy
